Glenne Headly, star of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, has died aged 63.
A spokesperson for the Emmy-nominated actress confirmed the sad news on Friday.
‘It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of Glenne Headly,’ they said in a statement. ‘We ask that her family’s privacy be respected in this difficult time.’

The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Headly was married to John Malkovich from 1982 to 1988.
The mother of one is survived by her second husband, Byron McCulloch, and their son Stirling.
At the time of her death she was shooting Seth Rogen’s pilot comedy series for Hulu, Future Man.

The star was perhaps best known for her breakout lead role in 1988’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, in which she gets the better of con men Michael Caine and Steve Martin.
She followed up with another lead role as Dick Tracy’s girlfriend Tess Trueheart, opposite Warren Beatty.
A member of Steppenwolf Theatre Company, she received a number of stage awards throughout her career.
She was also twice nominated for Primetime Emmy’s for Outstanding Supporting Actress: for her 1989 debut TV role in Lonesome Dove, and her 1996 turn in Bastard Out Of Carolina.
