Drake Now One Song Away From Tying All-Time Record for Most Career Hot 100 Entries

Drake logs his 206th Hot 100 hit as featured on PartyNextDoor’s “Loyal.”
Drake is now one song away from tying the all-time record for the most career entries on the Billboard Hot 100, as he tallies his 206th on the latest chart (dated Dec. 7).
PartyNextDoor‘s “Loyal,” featuring Drake, debuts at No. 63 with 11.7 million U.S. streams and 3,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music.
The Glee Cast currently holds the all-time record for most career Hot 100 entries, with 207. Here’s an updated look at the chart’s leaderboard, dating to its Aug. 4, 1958, inception (notably, after Elvis Presley had begun scoring some of his biggest hits starting in 1956):
Hot 100 Entries, Artist
207, Glee Cast
206, Drake
163, Lil Wayne
109, Elvis Presley
107, Kanye West
106, Nicki Minaj
100, Jay-Z
98, Chris Brown
95, Taylor Swift
91, James Brown
Pending any reboots of the show, the Glee Cast’s total is likely to stand at 207, as the Fox TV series went off the air in 2015. All the troupe’s titles charted between 2009 and 2013.
Drake earned his first Hot 100 appearance on May 23, 2009 (two weeks before the Glee Cast first bowed), with “Best I Ever Had,” which peaked at No. 2 two months later. Of Drake’s 206 entries, 35 have reached the top 10, the second-most after Madonna (38), and six have hit No. 1: as featured on Rihanna‘s “What’s My Name?” (2010) and “Work” (2016) and with his own “One Dance,” featuring WizKid and Kyla (2016), “God’s Plan,” “Nice for What” and “In My Feelings” (all in 2018).
“Loyal” is Drake’s 17th Hot 100 entry in 2019 alone, tying Ariana Grande for the fourth-most, after DaBaby (21), Post Malone (20) and Taylor Swift (18).
