Marvel’s Black Widow Movie Casts Stranger Things’ David Harbour
Stranger Things actor David Harbour has joined the cast of Marvel’s Black Widow movie. Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as KGB spy and assassin-turned S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in the upcoming film.
Black Widow has been rumored for years, but is finally moving forward as part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There’s still a lot that’s unknown about the movie at the moment, including where it takes place in the MCU timeline and how (if at all) its story will connect to the conclusion to this year’s Avengers: Endgame. Nevertheless, with a June production start date on the docket, the superhero film’s cast is steadily coming together now.
THR is reporting that Harbour has joined Johansson and Florence Pugh (Fighting with My Family) as the only confirmed cast members for Black Widow for the time being. Cate Shortland (Lore) is directing the film, which is based on a script draft written by Jac Schaeffer (who’s also overseeing Marvel’s upcoming Scarlet Witch and Vision TV series for Disney Plus).
