She often uses her platform to speak openly about mental health and the importance of self love.

And Rumer Willis took to Instagram on Monday to give her nearly 900,000 followers some insight into her current state of mind and how she is coping with the negative feelings.

‘Feeling Weird and Not Ok and just letting that be ok, Who’s with me?,’ wrote the actress, 32, who included a brief makeup-free video of herself.

Willis appeared to be attempting to remove the stigma around depression and the often overwhelming states of dread and/or sadness that overtake sufferers at random.

The daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore rocked a head full of damp, curly tresses that were parted to one side and flowed down her chest.

Rumer, donning a red and white striped robe, appeared to be resting on her couch as she filmed herself.

Back in September, Willis penned a lengthy essay regarding a ‘class’ she had taken aimed at ‘learning about self directed kindness.’

‘Working through breaking down the walls of the ego voice that is constantly coming at you with judgement can be extremely challenging,’ she wrote.

‘It is so easy to let the negative self fulfilling prophecy of failure or unworthiness cloud what is the real truth about who we all are on a basic level.’

She then encouraged her massive following to actively ‘[take] a few moments to praise yourself for everything you have accomplished, everything you are working through, all that you have overcome or are currently working on.’

Rumer admitted that she knows that it is ‘not always easy’ to be loving towards ourselves, but that it is important to try and see how much of an affect it can have on our perspective. 

‘Maybe just for today what if you allowed yourself to see you as others do, to love yourself as others do and receive that love.’
