Pall, 33, who comprises the EDM-pop duo with Andrew Taggart, 29, told The Morning Mash Up Wednesday about their run-in with the 48-year-old pop diva.
‘I was like “Oh my God! Like, Fantasy and Honey!”‘ he said, referencing two of her hits. ‘And she was like, “Dude, I love you guys!”‘

Pall said he and Taggart were caught off-guard by Mariah’s awareness of their careers.
‘And we were like, “What, you know who we are?”‘ the Don’t Let Me Down artist said. ‘And she was like, “One Direction, right?””
The We Belong Together artist later took to Twitter to yuk it up over the incident, tweeting at the Chainsmokers about the mishap.
‘Of course I know you!! I love your song “that’s what makes you beautiful”!’ she wrote, referring to the 2011 One Direction song.

Mariah’s fans flooded the thread with good natured shade aimed at the pair with memes and homages to the musical icon.
One wrote, ‘y’all got played by the queen and can’t even get mad about it,’ while another told Carey, ‘Your sense of humor is the best.’
While Mariah might not still be fully aware of the group, plenty of others are, as on Tuesday they announced they’ll be touring North America this autumn, visiting 41 cities including Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston. The tour kicks off in Cincinnati September 25 and extends through December 6 in Vancouver.
Opening acts for the outfit are 5 Seconds of Summer and Canadian songstress Lennon Stella.
