Dragon Ball Super Season 2 Release Date Rumors: Is It Coming Out?

Dragon Ball Super ended its first season years ago and since then fans have been curious about a second season and its possible release date. Dragon Ball Super is an anime that is set during the timeframe of the original Dragon Ball anime series and follows the adventures of Son Goku and his friends in the ten-year time skip after Majin Boo’s defeat.

Is there a Dragon Ball Season 2 release date?

At the time of writing, Dragon Ball Season 2 does not have a release date.

However, a second season of Dragon Ball Super can happen, thanks to an interview given by Florence Jay Dominguito, a member of Toei Animation Philippines for the official Dragon Ball website. He spoke about Dragon Ball Super and said:

“As a fan, I’m really looking forward to new movies and merchandise. I’m also excited about the new anime that will continue Dragon Ball Super,”

According to Twitter leakers DBS Chronicles, DBSHype, and SLOPlays, Dragon Ball Super Season 2 production is already underway and will be released by the end of 2023. Moreover, according to Twitter leaker SupaChronicles, Akira Toriyama, the creator of the original Dragon Ball manga is part of the creative team for Season 2.

This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.

Dragon Ball Super’s cast includes Masako Nozawa, Ryo Horikawa, Hiromi Tsuru, Koichi Yamadera, Takeshi Kusao, Yuko Minaguchi, Naoko Watanabe, and Kozo Shioya.

Where is Dragon Ball Super Season 2 coming out?

Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is anticipated to come out on Fuji TV by the end of 2023 and likely stream on Crunchyroll.

The official synopsis for Dragon Ball Super reads:

“With Majin Boo defeated half a year prior, peace returns to Earth, where Son Goku (now a radish farmer) and his friends now live peaceful lives. However, a new threat appears in the form of Beerus, the God of Destruction. Considered the most terrifying being in the entire universe, Beerus is eager to fight the legendary warrior seen in a prophecy foretold decades ago known as the Super Saiyan God. The series retells the events from the two Dragon Ball Z films, Battle of Gods and Resurrection ‘F’ before proceeding to an original story about the exploration of alternate universes.”
