Jamie Lee Curtis will return for two more Halloween films following the success of last year’s installment
Michael Myers and Laurie Strode are returning to the big screen two more times in the next two years, to battle to the death.
Universal Pictures made the announcement Friday, it will be Halloween Kills out Oct. 2020 and Halloween Ends opening the same month a year later.
The film’s stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle will reprise their iconic roles for both films.

The 11th installment, last year’s Halloween, blew the box office open and made $ 255 million worldwide on a $ 10 million budget.
It became the most successful film in the franchise.
Returning from that film will be director David Gordon Green, who will co-write the films with Danny McBride.

Trancas International Films, Miramax and Blumhouse Productions will return to produce the next two installments.
Since her film debut in the original Halloween in 1978, Curtis has starred in five of the almost a dozen films.
The original follows villain Michael Myers (Castle) after he spent 15 years in a sanitarium for killing teenage sister when he was just six.
He escapes the facility on Halloween in 1978 and goes back to his home town where he stalks high schooler, Laurie Strode (Curtis) and he goes on a murder rampage.

It was directed and co-written by John Carpenter, who was brought on for the 2018 film as a producer and consultant.
In the blockbuster 2018 film, Strode, now a reclusive grandmother, is re-traumatized when Myers returns.
But it is Curtis’ character that has one last confrontation with the killer who tried to kill her 40 years ago.
